China has almost encountered all sorts of international trade frictions ever since it entered the WTO, including anti-dumping, anti-subsidy, safeguard measures, special safeguard measures, technical barriers to trade, Intellectual Property Rights disputes, etc. Furthermore, many enterprises have had to face corporate social responsibility verification related to export orders. A considerable quantity of international trade disputes have not only affected the export and global competitiveness of China, but also consumed a great deal of labor power, material resources and financial resources. With making good our promises after entering the WTO for three years, unification of global textile products and aggravation of international trade protectionism, the situation is not gladsome this year. In this background the International Trade Coordination Committee of China Federation of Industrial Economics (CFIE) will hold “Analysis Conference for International Trade Dispute” in Beijing in late March. Persons in charge from relevant departments of government, representatives from industrial associations, some enterprises involved in the dispute cases, international arbitration institutions, famous lawyers, experts and scholars from both home and abroad will be invited to give monographic speeches concerning anti-dumping, anti-subsidy, safeguard measures, Intellectual Property Rights disputes, technical barriers to trade, corporate social responsibility, international arbitration ,etc. Every effort is going be made to ensure the conference is pragmatic and comprehensive.
2 Aim :
The conference will conclude and review the situation of international trade disputes of the recent three years after China entered the WTO, analyze and forecast the trend of development after the transitional period, in order to help more industrial associations and enterprises learn experiences ,draw lessons and prepare for the disputes. Meanwhile, the conference will introduce many experienced, competent and well-known lawyer’s offices , lawyers, and international arbitration institutions to meet industrial associations and enterprises’ demands in China.
About 300 representatives from important import and export enterprises, trade corporations, lawyer’s offices and accountant’s offices from home and abroad, and social intermediaries will participate in the conference.
